Celebrating 4 Years of Mitra!

February marked four years of Mitra: Healing Centered Yoga! When I look back, I’m honestly a little stunned. Not just at how the business has grown, but at how I’ve grown alongside it.

There were years when I wasn’t sure I could keep going. Years of self-doubt. Wondering how I would pay rent and whether this work was sustainable or even wise. There was a moment last year when I had to ask myself honestly: Do you believe in this work or not? If yes, then commit fully. If not, do something else. I chose to commit.

This is the first year I can say I’m not operating from constant fear about money or “enough” work. I’m still figuring things out. I still feel stretched at times. But I love what I do. I love collaborating with amazing organizations that believe in community care. I love working with different populations where people are willing to slow down and listen to their bodies.

I don’t know exactly where this path leads. I’m not sure I ever planned this far ahead. But right now, I want to pause and celebrate what has been built, and the incredible people who made it possible.

If you’ve taken a class, referred a friend, offered encouragement, partnered on a project, or simply believed in me when I was doubting myself, thank you. Truly. This work exists because of community.

Teaching has become part of my practice. Moving alongside participants. Listening to the conversations that unfold. I learn so much from you, the people who trust me with their time and their nervous systems.

As I move into year five, I’m exploring new offerings, deepening partnerships with organizations, and continuing to find ways to make this work even more accessible and sustainable. I've also created a video library with some older asana recordings and grounding practices that you can practice on your own for free!

For now, I’m just grateful. Grateful to still be here. Grateful to be doing work that feels meaningful. Grateful for you.
