The Phoenix Project
The Phoenix Project is a survivor-led initiative dedicated to offering accessible healing arts and community-based programming for survivors of sexual trauma*. Emerging from the legacy of the Survivor Theatre Project, it carries forward a commitment to creative expression and collective healing while evolving into a broader, interdisciplinary model of survivor support.
The project brings together trauma-informed arts programming, somatic healing practices, educational workshops, and community care initiatives designed to meet survivors across diverse identities and lived experiences. By reducing barriers to participation and centering survivor voice and choice, the Phoenix Project cultivates spaces where creativity, embodiment, and connection support long-term healing and growth.
*Sexual trauma includes anyone who has experienced sexual violence and/or sexual misconduct
(This may be defined as, but is not limited to child sexual abuse, incest, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, rape, intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual-based harassment, and institutional sexual violence)
Please note: Although these programs will offer space for community and reflection,
they should not be confused for therapeutic services.

Embodied Healing
Free, monthly online workshops centering survivor-led spaces that support healing through creative, somatic, and educational practices connected to survivorship.
Rooted in the understanding that healing happens in relationship, with the body, with community, and with choice, this series provides accessible spaces where participants are invited to explore expression, self-agency, and embodied healing.
Each offering centers safety, consent, and cultural awareness, recognizing that survivors carry diverse experiences and needs.

The Survivor Uprising Podcast
with Kaia Jackson
This interview-based storytelling project invites survivor artists, activists and healers to share from their life's work and reflect on their creative and spiritual journeys. This project intends to benefit a broad community of survivors- both those who are interviewed and those who choose to listen- in creating spaces for more direct connection, collaboration, co-learning and culture change. While our community is geographically vast, this shared storytelling platform invites survivors to imagine, build and feel our collective resilience, knowledge and power across time and place.
